This is my son’s first martial arts and my 8 year old just loves this place! Great teachers and well organized teaching style! Teachers have a great rapport with students as well as parents! Great communication throughout! Students are able to pick 3 days out of four to practice in a convenient location… Highly recommend!
My Two Boys just started about a month ago and they really love the classes! They have pick up the lessons in such a short amount of time and improving every week. All the kids are excited and and can't wait to learn new things. We really enjoy all the aspects of not only Filipino culture but all the other disciplines of martial arts!! I've been training with Legacy FMA since July 2021. I don't have much experience with many other schools, but I can confidently say that there aren't many places as warm, welcoming, and talented as the community members of Legacy. The curriculum is organized, practical, and incredibly empowering. I'm a 5'0" smaller-framed Pinay and after hearing about the targeted attacks on Asian women and elders back in March 2021, I used to be afraid every time I left my home. But after a year of training with Master Joseph and his excellent team of guros, I can stand in power and with the confidence that I can protect myself and my loved ones should any harm try to come our way. So grateful to have found a school and community that honors our ancestral history, watches out for its community members, and makes us look damn good doing it!! Can't wait to start sparring and possibly represent the school at tournaments and such. Love you Legacy! Some other highlights: - Our serrada style was systemized by Angel Cabales, a 4'9" Filipino immigrant and death match champion - The school's gender ratio is about 50-50, and the sisterhood shared among the women practitioners + the master's teachings embrace the Filipinx tradition of women warriors - Lots of parking, family-friendly environment, everyone is always down to train and help others sharpen their skill If you're reading this and thinking about trying a class, DO IT!! You won't regret it!!

I had the pleasure of virtually attending two weeks worth of the beginners class thru zoom. while attending the classes Joseph Bautista and the Legacy team members were all very caring and taught in a very positive manner which made the learning environment welcoming, informative and fun. I'd highly recommend attending his in person classes or contacting him about the hybrid classes if your not local to the Legacy Filipino Martial Arts Academy.
My 10 year old son loved his first class! Master Joseph was very welcoming, encouraging, and knowledgeable. Not only did they teach him some martial arts moves, master Joseph took the time to drop tidbits of history and knowledge about Filipino Martial Arts. Overall great experience. We signed up for a membership right away.
A fun fighting skill for kids and adults
I just want to say that I am very grateful to this program from helping my cousin become skilled at a martial art. We’re Filipino, and I’m big on getting involved in activities that are culturally relevant to us. [Legacy Filipino Martial Arts] gives my cousin a chance to excel at something and I appreciate the community that has rallied behind her to help her become more active and good at self defense. The instructors are kind and helpful; I appreciate Master Joseph and his emails keeping me updated on my cousin’s progress. My cousin is EXTREMELY shy I’m thankful for the [Legacy Filipino Martial Arts] community for welcoming her and taking her in as one of their own.
Master Joseph held a workshop for the Galing Bata Summer program 5th-9th class, and as a class we give it a full 5/5 stars!!!! First off, we want to give a huge thanks to Master Joseph because we all had a fun time. Not only was the workshop really engaging, it was also very intentional in teaching us how to stand up for ourselves (encouraging us to say NO proudly), in teaching discipline/responsibilty (having to say "Opo" and learning that weapons must be EARNED because it requires responsibility), & in uplifting women (by exposing us to Princess Josephina, a Filipina Warrior Princess). All this in 30min! Truly amazing. Our favorite part was having to fight the Aswangs at the end. It was so much fun and we definitely got a good workout out of it.
